Internet Love by Marysian Internet Love by Marysian
This is one of the final pieces I submitted for my Studio Art folio, originally framed and without the letterform at the bottom. This is supposed to be a humorous/satirical and somewhat ironic message to people who persue internet relationships.
Don't get me wrong, I have nearly no problem with internet relationships, but to an extent I can agree with this picture in that it can and does have negative effects. Perhaps not to this extent, but to a lesser extent.
So much to say, so little energy.
Enjoy! :)

I met my long time boyfriend online and we were best friends for 5 years before we got together and now we've been together almost 2 years, visit each other regularly and I am moving out to live with him in November.

: ) daw thats excellent! I sure am glad to hear that other people have made successful relationships online :3 its time to smoosh that over-believed notion that "only pedophiles are on the internet" and "long distance r/ships never work"
Rock on!

Yeah :). I find the commercials really funny :P... they're always the american dream with these perfect couples XD. And I've noticed that they never have interracial couples 0_o. Their hair is never even a different colour :XD:.

Heheh thankyou :) many people out there understand this now, what with up and coming internet dating sites... many critics of this kind of love.. it was certainly an interesting topic to persue in art class.

: D that is fantastic!! : )
Its the meeting and the exploring that makes things like internet r/ships work out. Heck, i met :iconasjova: online, went over seas, met in real life and thats just as good as any other i believe!
On the other hand, i'm almost against my own artworks, but in the name of getting a good art result at school, i decided to take that approach so as to appeal to the steriotypical ideas about online love. Teachers seem to agree with it more... hmmm. : P
